Steve Sweitzer

Creative Director

Builder of brand legends and destroyer of misconceptions about how brands work in the 21st Century.

As brand ambassador, photographer and storyteller for clients, Garmin International, Duluth Trading Company, LUMIX cameras, and Eagle Creek Outfitters, Steve tested and promoted products through social media, blog posts, expeditions. He recently completed a 2-year trip around the world exploring 6 continents, 56 countries, and countless cultural experiences using client products. Adventure travel, food, history and the arts were the focus of the expeditions.

Formerly, Steve was Chief Creative Officer and Partner of Woodruff Sweitzer, a brand builder and marketing company with offices in the US and Canada. Multi-national clients include Diamond Pet Food, Bayer Animal Health, Novartis Animal Health, Versatile Tractor Company and more.

Past creative efforts include work for Nissan, Reebok, Sony Playstation, and Energizer at Chiat/Day. His work at Hal Riney for the GM Electric Car earned the Kelly Grand Prize Award for print advertising and an Emmy nomination for the companion TV spot. Other award highlights include multiple wins in the One Show, Cannes, Andy Awards and Clio Awards. Key accomplishments include the national launch of Sprint PCS and the US launch of Sony Playstation. Steve also has TV commercials acknowledged by Adweek to be among the Best Commercials of the Decade.

In 2007, he founded the Roots N Blues N BBQ Music Festival in Columbia, MO. Since then, the show has featured over 300 national and international acts and has drawn over 500,000 fans. It is an experiential and social marketing dream laboratory to test engagement initiatives.

In 2017, Steve joined forces with Tim McClure and Alison Blair of Mythos Legends, a global brand consultancy that builds legends for companies whose brand purpose is to preserve the animal kingdom, planet earth, and humankind.

In 2018, he will publish a book of photographs and stories about the Wonder of his global journey.

If you’re an agency, Steve can help you with new business campaign pitches, building creative departments, and supervising the production of intricate film shoots and campaigns.

He is also good at dealing with complex client relationships.

If you have a business or brand, Steve can help you create a legacy by writing your story and building upon it.
